Dear Friends: 

This past weekend we went to the funeral of Pat Grant, my good freind Bud Grant’s wife, whom we loved very much. Pat Grant was a very special person because of how much she gave to everyone she met along the way, and especially to our family. She affected us all with her intelegence and her big heart of charity. God Bless Pat and Bud Grant.

If it were not for our friends, Bud and Pat Grant, we would have lost our home in Minneapolis and our mission, St. Francis Lodge (see www.stfrancislodge.com). Bud and Pat took the risk to co-sign on a re-finance loan with our bank on St. Francis Lodge and our home when everyone else turned their backs on us, including Betty Kirby, my wife’s mother. Bud said “Tell Beth to have a Merry Christmas”, when we thought we were at our rope’s end on December  24th, 2002.
