Dear Friends:

Over the 10 year period since I first wrote my memoirs,  I have been talked to producers, such as Bill Pohlad, Christine Walker, Frank Mannella, and others, as well as great screen writers such as Dr. Richard Walters with the UCLA Screen & Film School, Richard Friedenberg ( “A river runs through it”) Lew Hunter (re-known screen writer, author of many books on screen writing, and teacher), Michael Maupin (know in Minnesota, teaches screen writing), and a few others who are unknowns about “Did I ever thank you, Sister?” . They all seem agree it is a very compelling and good story as  a book. They all have seemed to also suggest that it is a difficult work to get your hands around as far as how to tell this story in a screen play for a film. Some suggested early on that I write the screen play because no-one else can tell my story better than I can. Quite honestly, I was afraid to take this on because I did not think I have the skills to do this. However, after many months of agonizing over this and after our meeting with Frank Mannella, I came to the conclusion that maybe God is asking me to do this. Therefore, I prayed about it and after many hours of pain, I have completed the first rough draft of my screen play for the story. I have titled it “House Of The Lion”, since it was what I was searching for most of my life on my misguided quest for money and power as my way early on in my life of finding redemption. I want to also assign the rights to Sal’s Book, Inc. the screen play, “House Of The Lion”, a true story based on the book, “Did I ever thank you, Sister?”. I feel in my heart I have it right. This should not affect who we get as a producer  in that I believe the right producer will see the story clearly and would be compelled to try and stay close to the story line as it is outlined in this screen play.

Please let me know what you think on this. I appreciate your time and feedback very much on this.

Thank you for your friendship and support.

Sal
